Cactus Hound is trail running and rock climbing collective that puts on group runs and small running events. The founder commissioned a logo for social media promotion. The inspiration for this logo comes from how the founder's dog often gets its snout into cacti, coming away from desert excursions with sections of jumping cholla cacti stuck to her nose.
This design uses that story to render a minimalist illustration paired with hand drawn lettering that evokes the nature-focused and laid back atmosphere of their competitions.
